Tuscany Photographic Workshops
Lakeland Photographic Holidays and Jimmy and Angela McCracken bring you a new style of photographic workshop based in Tuscany. Using John Gravetts’ photographic expertise, travel photography and landscape skills and the McCrackens’ superb Tuscan farmhouse and knowledge of Tuscany we aim to provide a superb week (7 nights) of landscape photography, excellent accommodation and lovely food in a relaxing and beautiful environment.
Workshop Details
John and Jimmy will meet you at Pisa airport at 4pm with 2 people carriers. You will be transported to Pian Colombaio, a journey of around 2 hours.
You will be able to relax before dinner, to be served at the Pian by Angela. John and Jimmy will provide an introduction talk after dinner.
Each day, you will be taken to range of photogenic locations and be able to work with John to capture the landscape.
3 days will have early starts with breakfast taken at local trattorias(additional charge). Packed lunches are provided each day, with the exception of the day-trip to Sienna, where plenty of local taverns offer a wide variety of options (additional charge)
There will be 3 evening feedback sessions following dinner at Pian. The other evenings, dinner will be taken at local restaurants, cost of the dinners are included in the workshop charge.
The day trip to Siena will not include Johns photographic expertise.
The Saturday transfer to Pisa will aim to arrive at Pisa by 11am to catch a range of flights.
Locations
SAT - Collect from Pisa airport at 4pm, dinner and introduction. .
SUN - Late start with visit to BAGNO VIGNONI. Late afternoon near Pian Colombaio and dinner out.
MON - 6 am to BELVEDERE and SPEDALETTO
TUES - All day trip to Historic SIENA
WED - 6 am PIENZA, LA FOCE and MONTECCHIELLO
THUR - ST ANTIMO CASTELLO VELONA
FRI - 6am trip to ST QUIRICO d'ORCIA and PALAZZONE
SAT - Depart for Pisa, Flights after 12pm.
Cost for 2010 is £1200 per person, with a £200 deposit. Payment for this workshop is taken a month in advance of the date of departure. Price increase is due to the exchange rate with the Euro and fully inclusive nature of the workshop.
Accommodation is provided in 3 apartments, a double with single sharing a bathroom; a twin and an apartment with two beds in separate rooms and a single room upstairs - some guests may be asked to share.
