The LPH Experience - Photographic Courses
Overview
Lakeland Photographic Holidays has been established for 20 years and is privately owned by John and Gail Gravett. We provide a relaxing and informal location in the most beautiful part of the English Lake District and offer photographic courses to photographers of all ages and all photographic abilities, the ideal environment in which to pursue their hobby and relax with their family and friends.
Our facilities include:
- all of our workshops are digital photography
- personal coaching and guidance in all aspects of digital photography
- 3 full day guided photographic excursions every week tailored to meet group and individual requirements for content and degree of physical severity (attendance optional)
- Advice on photogenic locations around the Lake District;
- Post production - on a daily basis digital files can be downloaded, copied to storage media and evenings are spent reviewing the days work in the comfort of our lecture room. John’s aim is to help each participant develop their own style using techniques in the field and through nightly feedback sessions’

Workshops
Through all seasons we provide Landscape workshops which include excursions to parts of the Lake District often overlooked by the tourist guides, where guests are offered personalized coaching and tuition in all aspects of digital landscape photography.
LPH also offer a range of specialist digital photography workshops including:
- Limited Walking Landscape Workshops - less walking and more photography
- Active Walking Landscape Workshops – where they go higher or longer than normal
- Black & White Photography Workshops – using digital images to produce excellent black and white images
- Photoshop for Photographers - learning the basics of Photoshop to get the most from your digital images
- Nature Workshops - focussing on the flora and fauna of the Lake District
- Tuscany Workshops - 7 night workshops taken in Tuscany including 6 full days of photography
