In order to make landscape photography available to a wider audience Lakeland Photo Holidays is pleased to offer limited walking workshops, enabling those who are less mobile to experience the joy in capturing the Lake District National Park at its best.
These are limited walking and guests will need to be comfortable in covering distances up to 11⁄2 miles per day, across fairly level ground. This course is popular with a broad spectrum of guests as it enables them to get the maximum camera time in keeping with the course ethos of “Less walking and more photography”.
From 2012 in response to guests who wanted a longer experience the limited walking workshop will be run over six-night on similar lines to the Landscape Workshops, with Monday, Wednesday and Friday being escorted days.
Landscape photography is not just about capturing stunning vistas it is equally about capturing the intimate. Capturing the ethereal quality of water as it cascades over rocks is every bit as impressive a grand panoramic view. One advantage of the limited walking workshop is the guests are in the one location for longer allowing them to immerse themselves, maximizing photographic opportunities.
Being limited walking by no means limits the stunning imagery that guests can capture, with locations as diverse as the Solway Coast, Rydal Water, near by formal gardens and even some high level tarns that can be accessed by motor vehicle.
The price is £665 for the 6 nights, inclusive of accommodation, tuition, food and excursions - only alcoholic drinks are excluded.
