Marrakech, known as the “Red City” due to the rich, vibrant colours of the buildings, that leave a lasting impression on everyone that visits this ancient, fortified city.
Colour and contrast abound in the lively bustling souks and markets where all manner of goods and services are available. This rich environment gives visitors the opportunities to photograph people and the culture of North Africa. John builds students confidence by encouraging them to photograph subjects out with their comfort zone, for example students from Europe would generally not pay subjects, something which is common practice in this part of the world.
Working in close conjunction with an experienced local guide John is able to access areas of the city that are normally inaccessible to most visitors. Guests are therefore able to capture stunning photographs of hidden Marrakech.
During the trip guests stay at the comfortable Riad Aladdin hotel centrally located in the Medina neighborhood close to Dar Si Said Museum, Djemaa el Fna, and Palais El Bahia.
