Lakeland Photographic Holidays has teamed up with Jimmy and Angela McCracken to bring you the ultimate in photography vacations Europe with a weeklong Tuscany adventure.
Utilizing John’s photographic expertise and the McCracken’s superb Tuscan farmhouse and local knowledge we aim to provide a superb week (7 nights) of landscape photography, excellent accommodation and lovely food in a relaxing and beautiful environment.
Tuscan scenery can best be summed up with Ridley Scotts iconic scenes in the film Gladiator where General Maximus remembers his home in Tuscany, flowing meadows, towering cypress trees and his stunning hilltop farmhouse, a location we will visit during the trip.
Workshop Details
Your photography vacations Europe Tuscan adventure begins at Pisa airport where John and Jimmy will meet you before taking the two-hour trip to Jimmy’s beautiful Tuscan Farmhouse at Pian Colombaio.
You have a chance to relax before dinner, before being served in style by Angela. After dinner John & Jimmy will give an introduction talk outlining the range of photogenic locations you will visit during the trip.
On three days there will be early starts with breakfast taken at local trattorias (additional charge). Packed lunches are provided each day, with the exception of the day-trip to Sienna, where plenty of local taverns offer a wide variety of options (additional charge) During the trip to Siena John will not be on hand to offer photographic expertise.
There will be 3 evening feedback sessions following dinner at Pian. The other evenings, dinner will be taken at local restaurants, cost of which is included in the workshop charge.
On Saturday you will be transferred to Pisa, we aim to arrive at by 11am enabling guests to catch a range of flights.

MON - 6 am to BELVEDERE and SPEDALETTO
TUES - All day trip to Historic SIENA
WED - 6 am PIENZA, LA FOCE and MONTECCHIELLO
THUR - ST ANTIMO CASTELLO VELONA
FRI - 6am trip to ST QUIRICO d'ORCIA and PALAZZONE
SAT - Depart for Pisa, Flights after 12pm
Cost for 2012 photography vacations Europe Tuscan trip is £1400 per person, including a £200 deposit.Payment for this workshop is taken a month in advance of the date of departure. Accommodation is provided in 3 apartments; apartment 1 a double with a separate single with a shared bathroom; apartment 2 is a twin and apartment 3 has two beds in separate rooms. There is also a single room upstairs - some guests may be asked to share.
