Food & Drink

All the food served at Lakeland Photographic Holidays is home-cooked by Deb Lyons. We are proud to use great local products and our eggs, sausages, lamb, beef, pork, chicken, cheeses and pickles all tend to be sourced in Cumbria. .

All of our workshops are fully inclusive of all food: breakfast, packed lunch and evening meal. Breakfast is served at 8.30am from Monday to Saturday and at 9.00am on Sundays. We serve a selection of seven different cereals and porridge, apple juice and orange juice, brown toast, tea, coffee and decaffeinated options too. In addition to all this a full Cumbrian cooked breakfast is available, comprising sausage and bacon from our local butchers, tomatoes, mushrooms, fried bread, baked beans and a choice of fried, poached or scrambled free range eggs from Scales Farm at Embleton, just down the road.

We provide tasty packed lunches on a daily basis, with a choice of filled roll, cake, banana and fruit juice or water.

A four course dinner is served at 7.00pm each evening. This comprises a starter of home made soup or fruit juice, a main course of beef, lamb or pork, chicken, turkey, or fish and a vegetarian option if required, four different vegetables and a fabulous pudding. Our puddings always include a home-cooked hot pudding such as rice pudding, fruit crumbles or sticky toffee pudding, as well as a cold dessert such as fruit salad, cheesecake or flan. In addition, a cheese selection and biscuits are available.

Dinner is finished with tea or coffee served in the lecture room.
