The privacy and data security of our Customers. As you may know, the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) comes into effect on 25 May 2018. LPH takes its responsibilities under this legislation very seriously and will ensure that the personal information LPH obtains is held, used, transferred and processed in accordance with it. We are contacting you to let you know that LPH has updated its Privacy Policy to reflect these changes. This policy is also available on our website LPH Privacy Policy.

This policy is intended to provide information about how LPH will use personal data about its customers. LPH has a legitimate interest to process personal data in order to both manage customer bookings and customer communications. The data controller is LPH.

Information we collect

By completing a Booking form, https://www.lakelandphotohols.com/booking we capture the following information

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Postal address
  • Mobile phone number
  • Dietary Requirements including food allergies
  • Date of Booking
  • eNewsletter indicator.

These forms are kept electronically on email for the period of one year by both Gail Gravett & Deborah Lyons and are then deleted.

The only information which is held on a long term basis and is maintained on a MailChimp database to enable email newsletters is:

  • Email address
  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Date of Booking

The customer can Unsubscribe from this database every time an email is sent to them, their details will be permanently removed.

Other names may also be added to the MailChimp database through auto-signup from the http://www.lakelandphotohols.com/ website and Facebook pages. In both instances, the customer must have a double opt-in to be added to the database.

Theses customer can Unsubscribe from this database every time an email is sent to them, their details willl be permanently removed.

Why we collect your data

LPH collects your information because it has a legitimate interest in processing your personal data in order to book photographic workshops. All communication will be relevant and adhere to your chosen communication preferences.

Processing your data allows us to;

  • keep in contact with you;
  • send you information about LPH;

Please note this information will always be sent by LPH. We will not share your information with any third parties.

How we collect your data

We collect data from individuals directly and with their consent. We collect this data via an online application form, or from a landing page on our website or Facebook page.

Who has access to your data?

Your information is managed by our Business Director , Gail Gravett during the handling of bookings and marketing and by the General Manager, Deborah Lyons for operational reasons.

Security of your Information

We maintain commercially-reasonable technical, administrative and physical security measures designed to protect your information. We use an external software company (Wombat Creative) to manage our systems. They are GDPR compliant.

How long will LPH keep your data?

LPH is committed to holding your data securely and treating it with sensitivity. The Booking forms will be kept until the end of the season and then destroyed, the marketing information will be kept on our email list until you Unsubscribe.

Your Rights

As a data subject, you have a number of rights. You have the rights to:

  • request a copy of the information we hold about you
  • change your communication methods at any time
  • Ask us to remove your personal information from our records
  • raise a concern or complaint about the way in which your information is being used
  • object to the processing of your data where LPH is relying on its legitimate interests as the legal ground for processing.

We may amend this privacy notice from time to time. It will be available on the LPH website to view. Any substantial changes that affect your rights will be sent to you directly as far as is reasonably practicable.
